Slow quarter mile time in 05 e55
Hi fellow Mercedes enthusiasts, I have been having a little issue with my 2005 e55, the car just hit 70k, picked it up with 59k. When I first got my car I noticed s/c shut off so I replaced the intercooler pump with the Bosch 101 and right away noticed a difference but the s/c still shuts off but after the pump upgrade it takes a little longer. I took my car to the track recently and I managed to run a 13.150 after a couple of runs, the car is completely stock except a resonator delete. The tires were 265 35 18 and they were continental pro contact 3s. Not sure what could be causing the s/c shut off after the upgraded pump. Has anyone had similar problems after upgrading pump?

First make sure there is sufficient fluid in the the system. Since you replaced the pump, I would say most likely that is the problem, bleed the system to remove the air that is possibly causing the issue. If that doesnt work, then it could be the pump is defective.

Welcome brother.
Your 1/4 time seems a little odd assuming your s/c was operating during your runs.
I ran 12.3 before my tune in vegas weather with sluggish reaction and 1.8 60ft.
Wondering if some of these perform better than others out of the box

Yea it's odd I will post my slip, but I don't think car is at fault because it was my first time at the track but who knows

Yeah you definitely need to be logging your intake temp (maybe air in system or even blown fuse/bad relay) and you could be running dangerously lean if your fuel pumps and filter are original.
