Delivery Question
Our new 2016 S550 finished yesterday and per the dealer is at the port in Germany. How long for it to normally get on a ship to either Brunswick Ga or Jacksonville Fl?
Thank you and for those in the US a very happy 4th of July

my guess, from the 4 cars I've had configured, it would be between 6-10 weeks, you may have the first one here on the forums

It takes about 17 days to get from Germany to Georgia. It can sit at the port for a some time before being loaded onto the ship.
Ask your sales guy for the VIN so you can track it on the Wallenius Wilhelmsen Website under Cargo ID.
For reference, below is a screenshot of my S550 that I took delivery 2 weeks ago. It arrived at the Bremerhaven port on May 10, before being loaded on to the ship on May 20. For this particular ship, it took 17 days to go from Bremerhaven to Brunswick.

I got mine last year in September.
It was about 3-4 days in the port, the Dealer was able to tell me the ship assignment (name of vessel). Then it was on the vessel for about 17 days. In the VPC in Brunswick it was only for about 2 days before it was shipped by truck to Florida. Overall the process was 2 weeks faster than anticipated by the dealer.
And if you are like me, you can track your vessel by name at marinetraffic.com :-)

The 2016 is released in August in the US but the first shipments are on ships already headed for the US. But you can order the 2016 model now. I have an order with a PO# for a 2016 S550 4matic.

Thanks guys. Just called another sales person at another dealer at a recommendation from a friend. My previous one didn't even answer emails I sent in the past few months. Sigh...
