Hey guys, a quick question:
I'm having a few misfires and before buying (unkown number of ) ignition coils I'd like to test mine.
However I can't figure out what to look for in term of resistance!
The boots do have 2K Ohm of resistance, but what about the ignition coils?
Which metal tip should I be mesuring?
Here are to pictures of the ignition coil with number I put on it to identify metal ends and another of the coils I have on my 1998 S600.

Any knowledge on this? It's a great question since it's a common problem.

My 2000 SL600 uses the exact same coils. I have at least 5 cylinder misfire codes on the CEL.

When I remove the coils and test them they all show to be bad.
i.e. pins 1 to 2 have 0 ohms reading
pins 1 to 3 have infinite ohms reading
pins 2 to 3 have infinite ohms reading
I didnt know where to test for the #4 connection?

as I understand for the coil to be good:
pins 1 to 3 should have a reading of infinite ohms
pins 2 to 3 should have a reading around 150 ohms.

Problem is, all of test the same. So which are bad and which are good?
