W220 vs W221 - 4Matic

I’m looking at a 2006 S430 4Matic with 48k miles and a 2008 S550 4Matic with 90k miles. Both well maintained cars and essentially the same price. I’ve had a W221 S600 so am familiar - good and bad - with the maintenance and electronics. I’ve never had a W220 or a 4Matic S-Class. The mileage difference is pretty big given no price difference. The car will be used for long distance road trips only. Which would be the better choice? I’m truly leaning to the W220 because it is low miles and late in the model run…but the W220 makes me nervous. Any advice is appreciated.

fleet
newer is better IMO
but if you find a nice w220 why be afraid? (s430 and s500 are excellent long distance )
Reliable v8, bulletproof drivetrain, dare I saw reliable airmatic suspension (way more than ABC at least).
compressor, valve block and 4 air struts is not that complicated
