A/C Diagnostic Menu Help

Another issue at hand guys. A/c on my 2000 s500 works fairly well but as the temp outside got much higher this week, the ac has been acting up. When the car is cold it works great. but if i let it sit for 5-15 minutes then get back in, the drivers side blows hot air out of the side vent and semi cooler air out of the center but the passenger sides are cold.

Was thinking it could be duovalve, but read in a few spots that it could be needing a recharge. When the temp is 65 degrees outside the number 7 diagnostic menu reads approx 9.5-10 bar. When the temp is 91 degrees or hotter the bar does not get above 14.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thumbs up

Hi Guys, I had same issue with my 2004 S500 W220 and I was told by the dealer that A/C compressor is on the way out. But when I did some research on the net, i found out that it was not compressor but just the settings of ACC (Automatic Climate Control). and I also found out the attached PDF document for how to resolve the issue by deleting the errors and also this procedure helps you to know the status/health of your air conditioner system. Good luck

Nice and a lot of work/research has been done to compile this pdf. At last i have every thing on one file. This will certainly help a lot of people in detecting what's wrong with there climate controls.

this is the best thing since sliced bread.., so basically, even though, I was told the car AC was charged before delivery. I have two questions; My AC continuously blows hot air. After running the ACC DTC procedure,

1. I receive B1000. Will this affect the Air temp?
2. during the DTC, it skips NR.19...is that bad, and NR.9 is +45,4K parked)

do I need to replace the compressor?
