Cool Brake pads recommendation

The dreaded message has been frightening me each time I start the car, so I guess it's (the FIRST) time to replace brake pads on my S350.

Have been searching and failed to find recommendation/s for which brake pads to use. Not looking for performance, just to ensure no noise as it has been thus far.

Will appreciate any help!:

I use Akebono brake pads on my S500. Love them, no brake dust on wheels and have been using them for years with no problems.

Thanks John.

On their site I see 3 types: Proact, Euro, and Performance; can you tell which of the 3 you've been using?

Well, I can't figure out the difference but Akebono pads do NOT fit the S350, while they do all the other W220s....

An anecdote: My indi encourages us to buy the parts. Napa were close and on the phone they quoted front $125 & rear $112.5 + $8x2 for the sensors (installed only on the right wheels...), total $276 with tax for "OEM equivalent".

Sounded rather high. Called the stealer and what do you know(?!), everything together, including good customer discount (I guess, wholesale) $130 (hundred & thirty), MB brakes, outta door.

Paid $140 labor including resurfacing the rotors, and life is beautiful
