Car not lifting after strut replaced
Hello I'm new to the form. I have a 2003 S430 that I have owned for about 2 years now and by the end of last year I noticed that my front left air strut was losing a lot of air every night and when I did a visual inspection it was leaking fluid. I store the car during winter moths so salt doesn't send it to an early grave. So I finally bought and installed a new strut the old one was completely shot. after putting on the car and starting it I can hear the compressor kick on and the rear raises but the front will not move. I can hear it go then a puff of air just as the compressor shuts off. I currently have the visit work shop message up but I cant get the car to lift up high enough to get the jack out from under it... any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Did you plug in the wiring for the air strut correctly? Also check the air fitting on top and make sure it's snug and not leaking . Also check and make sure ride height sensor is plugged in and in good shape. It's rare but happens sometimes new air struts out of the box have problems . Goodluck

Sorry for taking so long with an update but upon further investigation its beginning to look as if there is moisture in the air lines. I'm guessing it is this because after waiting awhile the car did raise the front on its own. The car works perfectly well its warm in the garage but after driving in -22 Degrees C for 15 or 20 minutes the cars compressor fires but does not lift the car. Is there a way to drain any water that could have gotten in the compressor and water lines?

There is a dryer cartridge in the compressor. Check the inlet filter and hose to ensure that water isn't being ingested from the road.
