Add Streaming Bluetooth Audio To A 220 For $30
So my 04 S430 came with a cassette player hidden in COMAND. Where normally to load a CD the screen would slide up to reveal the loading slot, this one would also slide down to reveal a cassette loading slot.
I'm not a cassette guy but this weekend I was working on a friends 05 Camry to looking to add IPod and while shopping for an old school cassette shell adapter I discovered the ION BT Cassette. You charge it up, turn it on and put it in the cassette slot and now you have a new BT audio network to connect your phone or iPod to.
Sound quality is very good. Aside from hearing the sound of the cassette player itself it was no different than the quality I got out of the $800 MoBridge unit I ended up installing in the 430 back when I had it.
If you have a cassette player in your 220 and would like BT audio this would be a good way to go.
The only downside I saw was that the cassette needs to be charged because the USB cable is too bulky to be "swallowed" by the player when it loads. It does have an on/off switch so if you eject it and shut it off when not in use it should go awhile between charges. I'm still running on the charge it had out of the box three days ago.

Is that a US '04 US S430? Original wide-screen Command?
I have never seen a W220 later than 2002 with the cassette slot.
