Seat compatibility 2002 => 2005
I have a light gray interior 2005 S500 4Matic.
Someone locally is parting out a 2002 S430 with light gray interior.
My driver's seat heater in the butt-cushion is inop, but the back works. I understand the seat heater is woven into the seat upholstery and fixes are either replace the upholstery or get an aftermarket heating element from Amazon and splice the connectors.
The price might be low enough on the parted-out seat that I could just get the entire seat and swap it, which leads to my question: Are the 2002 and 2005 seats identical, or is the 2005 different from the interior refresh in the later model W220?

The difference would be if one car only has heated seats while the other has heated and ventilated seats
It's not a model year difference it's a difference in options

Thanks, that's useful to know. The yard that had the 430 sold it, so I wasn't able to check it out. I will probably pursue installing an aftermarket heater from Amazon for the butt cushion, following guidelines on this forum.
