S430 Cranking but not starting.
Hi everyone! My s430 is having starting problems and was wondering if any one of you can help me. While driving my engine belt snapped and i had to order a new one. As i was waiting for the order to arrive my battery died in my car. After charging the battery and installing the new belt, the car won't start. Before this happened the car started every time and ran good. Could it be the battery? I tried replacing the gas to see if that was the problem but still no luck

Usually if it's a bad battery your car won't crank at all. How long did the car sit unused ?
Since its cranking but not starting , the belt may have damaged a sensor or wire in the engine compartment
I would also try changing the cps (crank position sensor) since that's a common failure that results in cranking but no starting

The car sat for about a month and a half because i live far and amazon takes a while to ship here. Ah okay so it could be the crank position sensor? The car was starting up fine before the snap though so hopefully it isn't that but ill check and post up more information in a bit.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Perhaps some clarification...
Does the starter turn the engine over with normal speed and sound?
Does the engine fire at all?
Sniff its butt - have someone sniff the exhaust as you operate the starter. Is there any fuel odor in the exhaust?
Are there any other symptoms? Do the instrument panel and lights do exactly the same as they did before the problems?
Do you have access to an OBD-II code reader? Are there any codes?

The engine dosen't start only crank a few times then stops.
No fuel odor coming from the booty.
Yeah the instrument panels light's up the same.
I do not have access to an odb-II code reader but i do have a mechanic that does. I was actually thinking of towing it over to his place for him to see whats wrong. Sadly in our place we only have one mechanic willing to work on luxury cars :P. However i have placed an order for the crank sensor. It seems like all the symptoms are pointing towards the cps.
Will post an update after the typhoon rolls through
Thanks!

The first comment probably indicates a problem with the battery or the battery connections. The W220 electrical and electronic systems are very complex, and this requires a high-capacity battery that is fully charged and in good condition.
The first thing that I would do is to fully charge the battery - not try a jump start. The starter should spin the engine over very quickly. If not, and especially if the starter still stops working in a short time, feel of every battery connection immediately after the starter quits. Any warmth in a connection indicates a faulty connection.
Again - if you don't have a big, good, fully charged battery, you will have serious problems with the car.
