I just purchases a 2007, S550 and I love it with a few exceptions.
1. Does anyone know how to get the DVD-Audio to work? My understanding is that in other years the DVD will work when in park with the emergency brake on. The service manager at my dealship is clueless.
2. I need to buy a phone puck for the #B67876131 OEM does anyone have one for sale?
3. I also need to rent the updated navigation DVD, I belive there is a version 10 or 11.

1) do you mean dvd audio or video? dvd audio disc, i think you insert it and it should start to play. if you want dvd video, yes you need to be in P and parking brake engaged. however since you have 07, more than likely you have the old telematic system. if you don't see "video" on the top of the command window together with map / audio, then you have the old telematic. you need to update that in order to watch video

The 'update' rominl refers to is a software push, has to be done by the dealer. Some forum members have had success in getting the dealer to do it for free, some have paid a small fee for it. There is a dealer bulletin that advises doing the update under warranty (if you still are...) to resolve a series of issues like Telematics freezing, etc.

It is confusing to talk about COMAND update (at least in my opinion). The question must be about Navigation update (maps database). COMAND update sounds more like the telematics update.

This bird's eye view comes with the first telematics update that was ever released for the W221 (telematics update can only be performed with the Star Diagnosis tool).
