Finally a Bluetooth Solution!!
I've search quite a bit with a more integrated Bluetooth solution that would work with our cars. It took me a bit but i found this viseeo tune2air wma1000 that allows for integration into Audi, Lexus, Bmw, and Benz. I received it today and i'm pretty stoked about the first tests so far. This bluetooth module allows you to stream to your factory system as well as stream apps like Pandora (Spotify not tested) and have the Artist and sound title on the speedometer like if it were connected to your ipod. The kicker is, if you have the factory bluetooth puck, when making a call, it transfer to that bluetooth connection and when you are done it reverts back to the previous connection. The most seamless setup i've had thusfar. I will be testing it a bit more to see if it is as good as i think and i'll report back.
I've also uploaded a video to youtube to show you the integration. I do apologize since i shot it with my ipad. Holding an ipad with one hand proved quite difficult. If anyone has any questions, i 'll be more than happy to answer them.
Thanks

I have this on my MY2010. This does work for streaming BT audio from your phone, but the media information (song title, artist, etc.) only works for iPhones. I have a Galaxy Note 3 and the only options I have are Previous Track and Next Track -- no media info.

Thanks for the vid! I'm also running the Tune2Air WMA1000 with my 2012 S550 and an iPhone 5s. I've noticed some quirks that I'm wondering if you've seen:
1) The music locally stored on your iPhone integrated over bluetooth works perfect. I can reverse, skip a track, title/artist shows up correctly, playlist shows up correctly, etc. But when I run Spotify premium, I can only go forward, the artist and track name somtimes won't show up correctly, and I can't see my defined Spotify playlist. Do you mind trying out Spotify?
2) I have my iPhone 5s also connected to the OEM Mercedes bluetooth phone. I've noticed that occasionally my music will skip. If I unpair my phone, everything works just fine.
Cheers.

As for question two, i haven't had any issues with skipping. I've made/received calls several times while playing music and everytime it has worked flawlessly. However, i'm sure only time will tell. I'll keep a close eye on this and let you know if i get any hiccups.

I'm, curious why is the Music Link one better for 07-09? I'm looking to get the Tune2Air after I get my iPod integration kit installed. I can find the 2Air on Amazon easily, the music link not so much.

I finally replaced enough of the factory speakers to get to the point where I can use the Ipod kit and enjoy the sound without any external EQ, and I listen exclusively to the Tune2Air. Quality is excellent and there's full integration with the COMAND and steering wheel controls.

The Tune2Air works on 07-09. When I wrote that post I hadn't confirmed that it was compatible. The MusicLink however does not work on 10+.

Thanks kiddkynetik- I saw your post and ordered this product through Amazon Prime. I just got it this weekend and the setup and usage is a snap. I can now stream Pandora, I-Heart Radio and Amazon Music Player through my '07 S550 factory sound system and control it with steering wheel controls, (I can even use voice command to launch it). Thanks for sharing this great & inexpensive solution for wireless integrations with MB Sound System!

2007 S550 (W221)
I would LOVE to get a Tune2Air on my '07 S550... The problem is, I don't have the iPod kit.
I can find the electronic box, P/N B67824245, for sale at reasonable prices on eBay, but I don't know the part numbers for the necessary cable harnesses.
Can anybody point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!!
EDIT:

I honestly haven't checked yet. I just saw other 2010 W221 owners chiming in on this so I figured bluetooth streaming wasnt available that year.

Unless there's something i'm missing, my Samsung GS5 will not stream music to my 2010 S63. It connects fine but does not give me the option to use as a media device, just a phone.

None of the 221's got BT audio. MB's explanation was that the car had too many systems that BT audio might interfere with. MB sells a device called a Media Interface Plus that is supposed to add streaming BT audio and Pandora integration for a number of models including the 2010+ W221 but the spec sheet for the device then specifically excludes streaming in the S Class, and the part is $300.
Tune2Air is the way to go. Simply by adding this inexpensive device and then replacing 80% of the factory speakers I've achieved impressive results.

Hi, where do i plug the tune2air kit? In the glovebox or center console? I dont have any cables in either, my glove box has a three pin AV jack and centre console has a couple of connectors it seems

wow - an OLD thread revival
these days there are much more modern ways to play - the tune to air has various iterations
A Merc old world spec, it uses ONLY the 30 pin old iPhone lead (but must have a rare option iPod kit hidden under the comand unit)
A USB version that works like a grown up (but can't on a old merc)
A BMW version that does control via USB and Audio via 3.5mm headphone jack
as you have the interim 3 phono update - you can by a Chinese nasty Bluetooth $20 thing off ebay plug in the aux phono connectors u found and find a power source (both ends of the dash board are full of fuses)
you'll have no way to see what playing or navigate around other than the phone
the iPod kit that's 5 years passed its sell-by data came in two flavours buggy and too quiet - or buggy and much louder with video on the iPod2 interface
