Are these brakes junk?
Hi guys, I recently bought an 08 S550 and the dealer told me it has 5% front and 10% rear left of the brakes. Well the carlot I bought it from is giving me $500 to replace them. Or they will do the job themselves, but with parts of this same price, and $100 for labor, which I can still get, even if I buy my own parts. Are these absolute junk or should they be alright? Is there something else around this price or a little more that would be much better? Thanks for the help!

My E Class cost $750 to do the front brakes at the Benz dealer. Are you dealing with a MB dealer? If this is a MB dealer then I would imagine , charging you $100 for labor and eating the parts is a good deal.

Front rotors are between $210 and $230 for the pair, front pads are about $75.
Rear rotors are between $140 and $180 for the pair, rear pads are about $60.
These are oem parts from www.oediscountparts.com in an MB box.
I wouldn't scrimp on brakes when the OE stuff is barely more expensive.
