S350 AC Blower Failed
Hello All,
mostly a lurker here but have a question
my 2008 S350 AC went haywire and I sent it in. After waiting a month for a part to come from Germany (am in Zimbabwe) the blower was replaced at an astounding cost.
The part replaced was 221 906 65 00 well into the thousands before labour. Anyway thats not the point, my S320 2000 has never had any AC components replaced neither has my current E320, old one was sold without issue. Is this normal on an S350? Has reliability gone down? My S350 spends more time in the shop than my S320 does and I drive it less.
Thank you in advance

I believe that is your radiator fan. The part retails around 700 from what I've looked up. So the rest is most likely labor /customs/shipping maybe?

I am not to worried about the cost. My major concern is how does that component fail so early on when my previous cars never had this issue and have clocked double the mileage at least! Has anyone else replaced their blower?
