Buying the Benz "Extended Limited Warranty"
The vehicle I purchased (still waiting for it....) is CPO'd. I know I can purchase one or two additional years of the Extended Limited Warranty. I'm told that I have 30 days to buy this warranty to avoid a 15% surcharge.
I read that some M-B dealers will discount the warranty. If true, how much do they usually discount, and does anyone know of a dealer?
Thanks.

Jason has a guy. PM him. Personally I always bite the bullet and buy as much extension as they're willing to sell. Three years total (plus whatever remains on the original factory warranty). You could also use the 12 month period to shop a 3rd party warranty. I've had both CPO and 3rd party and I much preferred the way Mercedes treated me versus the service contract company.

Bought a CPO with the extra year of MB warranty then two more of the Ltd. extended warranty. I think that they will discount somewhat but I don't really know to what extent they will go. I bought 2 years for about 4400.

Snovv...Give Jeffrey Santos a call. He is a finance person at Mb. Here is his info: jsantos@mbofelmbrook.com, 262-821-5000. I bought my extended warranty from him and the price beat all others by a substantial amount. He doesnt use the escalating scale other dealers use. Definitely get the warranty.
My car needed to get the tranny mounts changed, which turned out to be a tranny leak that deteriorated the mounts....which the leaking fluid also messed up the aft engine mounts.
Warranty fixed the leak & replaced all of the mounts. $3400 when all was said & done and I only had to pay $300 of that.

Just bought 2 years from Jeffrey Santos. Great guy, very helpful, easy to work with, unbeatable price. Recommended!
I now have extra warranty, remote starter, touch up paint, tune2air, but no car! LOL.

Having the actual car is highly overrated. Until it comes, go by your local MB dealer and flush two hundred dollars down one of their toilets. That will help simulate the actual ownership experience.

Maybe Mike is preparing me for the worst. The truck still has to make it across the county. And with my luck....
At least I can go into my garage and sleep in the car.
