Yes, Staggered. I think wider looks better on the rear of the S-Class. Even though my 550 is a 4 Matic. I could choose to run 245/40/20's up front for an equal tire diameter... But think I will stick with the 255/35/20 and 275/35/20 on the rear.

Those will do the trick. Did you go with the lower offset (35mm) or closer to stock (45mm vs 43mm stock)? Also you'll need new lug bolts. The lug seats on the reps will not be the same as the standard OEM Mercedes Ball lug.

That's more than a 0.5" wheel diameter difference.
Not to mention a difference in rotational speed between the front & rear wheels.

Are all the wheels the same width?

Since its AWD.......the wheels should all be the same diameter so that when driving straight all wheels would be spinning at the same speed. If the rear wheels are always spinning @ a different speed than the front wheels it could (or will) cause damage to the drive tansaxle in time.

The wheels can spin at different speeds for a short time with no ill effects (like during turns as the outside wheels will spin a bit faster)

Can't buy anything from the OEM site. Foolish password junk to just view the products.

Might as well buy six wheels. Not sure how these specific will hold up but I have had bad experiences with these wheels from two different companies. Had replaced 3 wheels already. Some of these reproductions crack and are very brittle, others bend and are too malleable. You will spending your time dodging small bumps in the road. Either way, nice looking wheel. Oem would be ideal.

They're most likely Audi ball vs Mercedes ball. Just different enough not to be compatible.

Thanks Mike... I will keep an eye out for that.
Zero, A few guys up at the Marina have W221's and have been popping tires and trashing the stock 20" wheels also. All have been fronts. After some thought maybe I will go with the 245/40/20's (27.7") up front just for some added rubber. This will match the 275/35/20's (27.6") by a tenth of an inch diameter wise making the whole 4 Matic thing a non issue.

I know, the warmer weather made me finally pull the trigger on those.
22's are wicked but here in the Chicago Burbs they wouldn't last long.

All amg replicas I have seen are woefully weak to support our beasts. The fronts always end in pretzels. Run 40 psi or more to minimize risks, but... You have been warned. There is a reason why the oem wheels cost an arm and a leg

I've run reps on two prior S Class with no issues, structural or cosmetic. The last set I put tires on, the tech doing the balancing took a photo to show me that the wheel called for zero weight. I had one set that had the little fake pilot holes for the MB alignment wheel attachment and the poor tech was going nuts trying to figure out why the attachment wouldn't mount. He had no clue they were reps.

In fact, I've bent exactly two rims over the past ten years and three S Classes. One was an 18" OEM rear on an S500 AMG Sport that sold for over $1100 at the dealer. I bought a $700 set of reps instead. No issues. The other was a 20" OEM front on my current S550. That one I sent off for truing and refinishing (the bend caused the clearcoat to crack and flake off) for $150. I'm not sure how I bent them. I never felt an impact or anything. I'm in FL so the roads are excellent.

Every once in awhile somebody will post something along the lines of the car being too heavy for non OEM wheels, the alloy is too soft and the wheels collapse, the alloy is too stiff and the wheels crack, but I never seem to see any posts from people actually using them. I just have to believe you'd be seeing a lot of threads from angry owners about defective replicas and a lot of pics of crushed (pretzled) wheels and cracked wheels and I've never seen one. The EBay vendors generally have high transaction numbers and nearly 100% positive feedback. Hard to do that selling a chronically defective product over the course of several years.

I guess it's possible they're lousy and cheap but that hasn't been my experience. The only wheels I've ever had a problem with were OEM.

I agree OEM rims cost an arm and a leg for a reason. I'm just thinking the reason is the little "AMG" stamp on them and not much else.

It's closer. I'm true flush with a rear offset of 23mm and a front of 28mm. I'm running OEM S63 wheels (43mm) and 20mm HR Trak spacers rear and 15mm front. I loved the look immediately but I expected vibration issues so I was surprised when I felt nothing when they went on. It seems to handle a little crisper with the lower offsets as well. You do need to Dremmel off the little tab inside the rear fender wels or they'll rub on bumps.

I ran 21" reps for 8 yrs on 2 different 7 series and never had an issue, I know people w oem 21 in the same wheel and constantly had bending or stress crack issues. What is this tab I need to Dremel off?
