Great choice! That car's becoming a true monster. You've got the ***** out luxury and insane power of the 600 and the styling of the AMG cars. Best of both worlds. All it needs is my audio set up
I'm strongly considering doing a 600 exactly the same way when my 550 comes off warranty next summer.
Any luck yet finding a domestic vendor for the hood?

Thanks!
I havent done a thorough search for the hood yet for a US vendor but I know when I find one the price is probably going to be double. The sellers on ebay have good ratings, I just don't want to wait up to 3-4 weeks to get the hood. I'll let you know what I find though. I think the hood would compliment the kit very well nd give it that extra bit of aggressive front end look.
Yes, audio is definitely on the list too! After I get done with the kit, that is going to be next on the list. There are a lot of fall/winter projects in mind so when next spring comes it's going to be ready to roll!
The 600 was definitely the way to go and I am thankful for everyone who guided me towards that!

Gary does not have the grille in stock...does anyone have a reputable place to get one with distronic? I see them on ebay but didn't know if anyone got one from there so wanted opinions.
Thanks!
Thanks!

So, I was just doing some reading and based on these posts, it's not going to work with distronic or is that only if I had the sensor holes in the bumpers?

Cant wait to see the finished product. I'm definitely going to swap out the diffuser for the square tipped amg ones.

I have a professional dslr. I was using my cell phone (note 4) which I dropped in Mexico and the rear camera is cracked over the lens and then it fell in the water off the boat when I was snorkeling g so I have no sound either...lol..I gotta get a new one. Needless to say...this is a tough phone to still be alive.

It's a shame that MB created didn't offer the sport package on the W221. They knew it would cannibalize the S63/S65 sales too much.

Just an FYI for those who need to remove and install side skirts. It's pretty simple. Everything I read said to remove the rear doors or how much of a paint it was.
Unscrew the 8 bolts hold the side skirt under the car. Pop the side skirts from inside of the car (10 white clips) and slide the side skirt out towards you. I went to the dealer and bought new clips 20 because I knew some would get broken and I used half of the new ones.
Put the clips back in the side skirts, align it back up, pop in while holding pressure against it to keep the others from popping out. Screw bolts back in from under the car and boom, done.
