S350 Seatbelt Question

Hi,

I am a new member with a 2012 S350 (with Premium Package and Split View), and I was wondering if there was a way to Turn OFF the seat belt auditable warning noise/alarm?

I previously had a Infiniti QX56, and there was a way to turn it off. It was a real pain, but it was only one time...

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

I saw the message below in another thread about the "Ding" noise when entering and exiting the car. So I was wondering, if you can use this Mercedes Star tool, and accel tool to remove the Ding noise from the seatbelt? Where do you get these tools?

Am I the only one that dislikes the loud seatbelt ding noise (quite flashing light is fine), or has this problem?

Ok good news. I just talked to my independent tech and he said you can remove that door chime tone completely with the Mercedes Star tool, and accel tool. So there we go, problem solved. __________________

From what I understand, a Star tool is mega expensive and not worth the price unless you're a MB mechanic who uses it all the time on lots of cars. The dealer should be able to adjust the seatbelt ding....perhaps to just 3 dings before it stops for a fairly low price. Perhaps you can get it programmed when you take it in for an oil change.
