New Member with a couple of questions..
Recently acquired a 2005 S55 AMG with only 80,000 K on it. Wonderful car, love it to bits. I'd had what I thought were nice cars before (1995 Taurus SHO, 2002 Nissan Maxima) but getting this showed me how wrong I really was.
Anyway, for the last 8 years or so I've always done my own brake jobs but I have to admit the brakes on this car intimidate me somewhat?
I need to get the rears done shortly and while I've only been quoted $190 Cdn for labour, in the future I'd like to do them myself.
I like to see a video first if possible or actually view the process live. I can't see my shop letting me stand and watch so they won't get the work in the future.
And I've tried to search here but have been unsuccessful in finding one for the brakes on this car.
Is there a video out there anywhere any of you know of?
I'd greatly appreciate a link if possible.

I was worth an ask....
I am not a video making sort of fella.
I don't have a phone or similar. I've seen lots of other projects in video and it make it easier for me if I'm going to try.
But I'll find a way.

E55 then E63, now back to an E55
I can't remember if the S-Classes have SBC brakes, but:
I know this to be true! (Or so I've read/heard)
Definitely disconnect SBC.
The calipers can "clamp" closed suddenly, from what I understand!
Causing serious damage!
