Previous S65 Owner
Have purchased a blk/blk 06 S65 with 10,400 miles from a dealer in San Jose, CA - picking up car next month. Car came off lease 5 years ago with about 7K miles and a police detective from San Jose purchased the car and apparently only drove it on weekends. Anyone know this individual? TIA.

I think this is the same S65 that I test drove before I bought mine earlier this year. If it is you got a great car because I know the retired Police Detective that owned it babied it and kept it in showroom condition, and he paid close to $ 90k for it when he bought it 5 years ago. BTW, I love your S65 and what you have done to it. Nice tip on the tire sizes I saw posted on another thread.

Talk about a small world - but then there were only 427 06 S65's brought into the country.

Just e-mailed it to you. Actually I was told there were only 427 06 S65's built by AMG for the World and only about 150 made it to the U.S. I would be curious to know how many are still left in the U.S. Cheers!~

My 07 SL55 is one of about 60 that came in with the $14K 030 AMG performance package and my best guess is about 10 of those were fully optioned - $156 sticker is the easiest way to tell. Mine is supposed to be the only red/blk 030 package car imported, but on AutoTrader there is a low milage red/ash 030 package 07 SL55 that is also fully optioned best that I can tell. Bought mine three years ago with 7,300 miles and it just hit 9,200. Top down season is limited here and one of the reasons I bought the S65.
