Anyone have pic with strutmasters conversion kit?

Hello,

Does anyone have pictures with strutmaster conversion kit? I was thinking about doing it to my ABC suspension. But I wanted to know if the ride height will be the same or its going to be lower?

Thanks

As far as iv seen its supposed to remain the same.

The only reason i havnt jumped over to strutmasters is that its going to take my car back to original ride height, which is not really for me.

You can still install the endlinks right? To lower?

Have a read of this thread below, should give you a pretty good idea i think.

If i hadnt just ordered my front 2 ABC struts i would have gone the same route as this guy.

I did take that route (but with the Strutmasters kit) and I am happy with the results... see below.

Ride quality might not be the same (although I don't feel much change, but what do I know) and purists would broil me alive, but the peace of mind I got after the conversion is well worth it.

06 S65
I was interested in the Strutmaster kit but I was told it's not available for the 06 S65 because it doesn't have a sway bar and there isn't really a way to add one. Do you guys have the same issue and just live without a sway bar or is there a difference in the kit for your vehicles?

That is the common knowledge. The Strutmasters Kit only includes the four units plus the ABC delete module. However, I have read in some other threads that it is possible to install some sway bars from non-ABC S-class models and the results are good. For me, though, sway bars weren't a necessity, as I don't intend to take the car to the tracks, but to have a solid car to drive a few times a week. Currently, my car doesn't "float" or "navigate" and it feels comfortable enough. This is a matter of opinion.

One thing I must add is that roads in this country are awful and the concept of highway is just starting to be explored, yet the car feels composed, stable and able to negotiate whatever I throw its way. See pictures below of our excursion last weekend.

The moment she enters the car, she sleeps like... well, a baby! And I can trust the car to get me home w/o the "red screen of death". Hope this helps.
