Keyless Go key old black one?
Hey guys I just ordered a second key for my 06 S55 as I've learned my lesson on my 00 S430 on what what happens when your only key dies. I just paid $314 out the door my cost at my dealer but she said the keyless go keys are the old black kind and not chrome for the 06. Is that really true? I really hate the old key it looks so ugly and out dated!

E55 then E63, now back to an E55
If your car HAS Keyless Go, YES it will be the old plastic (black) key.
Newer chrome keys will NOT work. I promise you

i went to the dealer the other day and they told me 400 something for keyless go and it will be chrome.
I asked him are you sure ???? Because everyone on the internet said it will be the old black one he said yes hes sure. im not spending 400 to find out lol. But he did say it would not have amg on the back of the key

He's wrong, I saw the paperwork from the dealer stating it's got to be the black one. I just got mine a couple days ago.
