My 2015 S63 AMG Coupe Edition 1

Absolutely stunning. Congrats!! What color interior did you get? I'm struggling with the color choices; white exterior, black interior or silver/grey exterior and a little more lively interior. A real first world issue for me :-)
Again, congratulations. Beautiful machine. Enjoy it in good health.

Definitely lively interior, black may be kinda boring. Exterior, everyone is going to get black. Go with white or another color in my opinion.

Congrats - gorgeous car! I have one order, arriving in January.
Just curious... what tires came with the car and why did you change to Michelin Pilots?
Also, how's the ride over bumps and road imperfections? Any rough up or down shifting with the MCT transmission?
Enjoy!

Haven't really driven through much rough roads to be honest out here in Irvine (usually well paved) but it's a smooth, smooth ride. Shifting is really smooth but I experience jerking at a stop/accelerate once. Not sure if anyone else experience this?

Dealer said the Michelin Pilots are 1-inch thinner than the Continental Tires (?) and add more grip.

Daturk, those sound like some serious issues with the S63 MCT transmission. Have you experienced that first hand? You think the S63 coupe is not ready for primetime yet?

first off congrats, she is gorgeous, and yes s63's have some corks on thier transmissions, not all but some out there, usually is less noticeable on "C" mode and really noticeable on "S" mode 1 tru 3 and 3 tru 1 upshifts and downshifts especially just like you descirebed while trying to slow down preparing to stop and suddenly strat moving again, hope MB will find a solution to this annoying jerkyness...

That does not sound good. Do you think the S63 transmission is defective and can be fixed, or is it a more fundamental problem with how the AMG transmission works?
If the latter, that may be tough to live with on a daily basis. Perhaps better to get a regular S550 instead? No problems with the transmission there!

It's just the way it is, smoother in "C" but the price you pay for responsiveness and quickness in "S".
I'm on my 4th AMG with that tranny and they all behaved the same way (2009 SL63, 2011 S63TT, 2013 CLS, 2014 E63S).

As it relates to my car I would not want to over state the problem, I'm pretty **** and have not even contacted my dealer about about it as I usually do if something bothers me. As I reflect, I have noticed it as I am backing in my drive way, going into drive and accelerating away as it makes the transition. I can't say that I notice it under normal driving but as I said I will pay closer attention and try and zero in, it's not something I find to be much of an issue but will try and zero in on the circumstances.

you would think that such a reputible company would have done a better job to adjust the shift points and make it smoother, i'm no expert on the subject and i'm still driving my s63 every day, so clearly I like the car, but its just my two cents...
