New Question...

So, I thought I read somewhere in a review (and the reviewer may have been mistaken) that the HUD will show not only our speed but the speed limit for the road you're traveling on. Is this true if so how do I turn it on as I don't see an option for it. I know it's possible as my 2015 Escalade ESV does this.

Thanks,

Rob

Seems like that might be a software, rather than hardware feature so might be worth inquiring with the dealer if there is any update available.

Good idea, I'll ask next time I stop by the dealership. I also heard the coupe without 4matic and with magic body control will be available in the US in 2016.

I love my speed limit assist.

Strange, current speed limit (and other road signs) shown in the large command display is also shown in both HUD views from day one in my car. Could it differ between EU and US vehicles for some reason?

It's different in MY2016 US. There's a menu that lets you pick 4 different layouts for the HUD. Well, 2 actually, with and w/out Speed Limit Assist.

I keep forgetting to ask my service department. Right now my car has been in the shop since last Saturday. It won't be ready til mid next week as the engine stalled 2x at a stop, similar to other's having issues.

MY2015 U.S. doesn't have Speed Limit Assist. If it did, you'd know it because it always displays the speed limit sign on the speedometer.

I know I don't have it but do you think it's a software upgrade or not?

Doubtful. The chances of being able to inject that feature (if the hardware is capable) are about the same as being able to add Race Start (from a CLS63).

You can go by your built-in speed limit assistant, "reasonable and proper". You know what is and what's not.
