Ny Long Island Meet II
Ok guys, I know we just had the meet today, but you how it is with these things, we gotta plan early. The 100 mile trip to the lighthouse is on the 18th of May. We should plan to have a meet on a Saturday again. The date of this meet so far is MAY 31. The place of the meet is pending. Time is 10am. All opinions are welcome.

What up fellas? Everyone recovering ok from yesterday?
On a weekend, it might be easier to meet up in some office complex parking lot. They're usually large, and there won't be too many people showing up to work on a Sat or Sun. I know it's no "beach," but hey...
There are a bunch of these along Rt 110 - the Huntingon Quadrangle comes to mind. Massive lot, just off the main road - but the lot is obscured by the buildings so we won't draw attention. PLUS, it's like three and a half inches from the LI Expressway. Okay maybe just a little farther, but not by much.
Another place I've seen GTG's is in Bethpage at the old Grumman site, just off Stewart Ave right next to Briarcliffe. I've seen Porsche gatherings there quite a few times. At this site, I know they did runs without any problem - they set up concourse there on the old runway. Anyone know if they still do?
Just some thoughts. But wherever it is, I hope to see you all again there!
Ciao!

And just to remind you guys Memorial Day weekend is probably the most horrible weekend to do it.. Alot of people (myself included) like to go away for that weekend so the meet wont be as strong..

If you would like a "select" meet, I can host about 35 cars at my facility if you need that as an option. You know setting up a core meet with the true strength behind the tri-state threads. There would be fine food and drink(yes Tom you can make the lemonade) and a place to meet up between runs. Sort of like a home base.
The beach crowd would fit perfectly.

Yes they bust chops over there big time. The problem is that everyone is thinking just like you so in the end there are something like 10 car clubs meeting there with close to a thousand cars and all you need is a couple of morons to do a burnout to set the parking lot patrol in full "police" mode..
And just to remind you guys Memorial Day weekend is probably the most horrible weekend to do it.. Alot of people (myself included) like to go away for that weekend so the meet wont be as strong..

I suggest we do Bruce's place if we can keep it tight-knit.
