Gearbox clunk when changing gears
I drive a AMG GLE63S build date 11/15 and when driving in sport+ mode in manual mode the gearbox clunks from 1st to 2nd every time unless I drive it hard i.e. pass 5,000rpm, it only does it on the upshift and never on the downshift, does anybody less have this problem.

Sounds like a typical AMG to me. Mine did it. Others do it.
I was told to drive it a little harder and it should stop. I took mine to the service center for a clunking transmission and they told me it was normal but they could do something to reprogram or retrain the transmission but it would come back. They actually told me, "drive it harder. It's under warranty." I sold mine as soon as the warranty ran out.
I think it has something to do with the type of clutch MB uses in the AMGs. Look in the AMG forums. I've seen a lot of posts about others having similar issues and their remedies.

Of all the MBs (7) I've had, the W212 E63 (AMG) was the only one I ever had, that the transmission "clunked" on. My current W212 E350 is silky smooth. Hopefully the 400 will not be bad when it gets here.

It appears it does. the E63 uses the 7speed MCT. So does the gle63 and 63s
MCT, seven-speed SpeedShift Plus 7G-Tronic transmission

I wonder why MB is not doing anything about it! Fix the damn clunk / Jolt problem when upshifting accelerating from standstill from 2nd to 3rd gear.
