Kompressor
I've had my 2005 c230K now for 4 months and just drove it from Arizona to New Jersey. But I still have not figured out how the kompressor works.
Is it always on or does it kick in when pushing hard on the gas? Mine takes off like a rocket if I push on it so it seems maybe to be on then. But when driving steadily at 70-80 MPH is it on or off.
With 155K miles but looking like new it is a nice car, getting 30MPG.
You really feel the road with these low profile tires and very noisy on some pavements.

Out Of Control!!
The boost control is dependent upon---engine speed, load request(the driver) and the safety functions built into the system.
Suggest you do a google search on the MB system---loads of detail or subscribe to WIS and discount all the misinformation!!
