Just got my new E300 and 3 days in and ambient lighting strip in passenger door pocket stopped working.......any thoughts?

May be you've already done this...But have you checked the vehicle setting?

If you mean the setting for the area to light.....yes. It is set for entire vehicle. Even tried taking it to zero and increasing the brightness again from there. Only light not working is the door pocket. I read somewhere on forum that if it needs to be replaced the whole door panel has to be replaced. Not sure I'd want to do that on new factory "perfect" fit.

A new door card and associated clips should not be an issue as far as fitment and quality. Being so new you may have to wait for the part to come in however.

Spoke to the dealer and they did say they would have to remove the door panel and check wiring...Then if necessary order a new light bar. I decided to have it noted on my file and wait....Not a critical light that anyone notices except me....Just don't want to mess with taking the door panel out yet....

They can pull the dash & door panels without you ever noticing. Everything is designed for ease of assembly, which means everything pretty much auto-aligns as they fasten it.

Update........Since my car was in for a couple of issues decided to force the issue on the ambient lighting. Told me they would order a new door panel since there is no way other then that to fix the light. Took 4 days but the located only one black panel in US. Crazy....When they started to remove the old panel could see that when car was built the TEch never plugged the light in. They reached in ...plugged it in....light works. Voila!!!!
