Brakes at Creep, Vibration and Harsh Noise

Just curious if this is a problem with my specific vehicle or normal for the E class, and maybe even normal for new brake pads. My driveway is a downhill, and as I ease into my garage, I am creeping down the hill so that my front lip doesn't hit the ground. When I do this, the brakes make a harsh sound and the whole car vibrates. Its a little unnerving. I have felt this before when the brake discs are rusted from moisture on other vehicles, but usually goes away quickly when the rust burns away. This happens everyday for me, does not depend on conditions.

If its cold related screech, it does not go away. It disappears after one or 2 brake applications but will return the next morning. Its a charateristic of the brake pads/rotor material.

It doesn't disappear with use and is completely repeatable under any condition. I also noticed an excessive amount of brake dust!

That doesnt sound good. If its only one wheel its probably pad failure or a foreign object. If its all wheels an abs problem.

It's normal for one hard and one soft surface grinding against each other. It's more noticeable with cold brakes, but never goes away completely. You have it worse, because you're going downhill so there's more pressure on the brakes.

Do this: when you reach a level surface and stop at a light, let the car creep just a bit. Then put tiny pressure on the brakes to stop the car really really gently. You can make it sing at any time if you're gentle enough.

Edit: If you want me to make a video of my car doing the same thing, just say so But I'm sure other members will chime in with the same experience if they try the highly sophisticated experiment described above
