E350 KEYLESS ENTRY QUESTION
Hi guys , I'm new here . I just bought myself an E350 coupe sport, 2010 in palladium grey. All is well and super happy with the car , however I was watching a youtube video of a car like mine , which had a keyless entry.
My car seems to have a similar sensor on the door handle , but doesn't unlock or lock itself when I touch it ....just like in the video.
My question is : Do I actually have this feature at all ? ....and if I do , do I have to calibrate it or something since I didn't buy the car new !?!
Look forward to hear from you , Thanks

There is a thread here somewhere that if you provide your vin you will get a breakdown on all the options your car came with from the factory.
I looked around but couldn't find it. Maybe someone else can find it.

First off, congrats on the coupe.
Next, there is a big difference between Keyless Entry and Keyless GO.
Keyless entry is what almost all cars have in the last 20 or so years which is just a remote to lock and unlock your car.
Keyless GO is an added option that allows you to lock, unlock and start your car with the push of a button with the key in range.
You most likely watched a video of Keyless GO which your car probably doesn't have.
On the bright side, one thing you can do is aim your key at the sensor within a few feet and hold the lock or unlock button to open and close all your windows.

Regrettably your vehicle was not, repeat not built with any keyless go features. You have the standard central locking system and if you are pointing the key fob in the direction of the car and the car does not lock or unlock there is a fault in the system(low batteries and or system component fault).
Read the manual and then return the car to the seller and have them fix the issue!!
Keyless Go=SA code 889-------you have code 885=Highten central locking system(multiple locks on doors)(if you brake the glass and have a key you will still never start that car)---you are better off carding wool!!

Plutoe, thanks very much for this !
My central lock is working as it should, since I do not have the GO feature .
Windows automatically go up to.
On a different note , I'm missing a spare key and the manual. Do you know where's best to get them ?

Out Of Control!!
All over the world there are thousands back ally shops that make duplicate MB keys simply google the subject along with a manual source, however in my case I bite the bullet and use any dealer.

Just go to Google and type in "Mercedes VIN decoder," click on the first result, and type in your VIN. You will be provided with a complete list of features/options for your particular car.
