Help me figure out what's wrong with my tuned/catless E63S. 7.70s at only 93mph!
2014 E63S 4matic, 19k miles. Speedriven catless downpipes, UPD Intake Kit, and tune. Installed all mods at the same time, never really had a night and day difference seat of the pants feel.
Went to the track at elevation of 1542 feet, about 60 degrees ambient temp. Not a hot day.
Launched with traction control completely off, no wheelspin was noticed at all, track was very well prepped. Tried comfort and sport suspension with similar results. 2krpm brake torque launch. S+ transmission setting.
As you can see on my time slips I could gain a tenth on the 60foot. But I'm WAY off from you guys running 7.20s at 100mph in the 1/8th mile.
Any ideas on what's wrong with my car? What can I look for or do? I'm feeling likeIm going to have to drive it 14 or more hours to a tuner to get dynotuned.
I also raced a 2012 Mustang 5.0 with only 521whp from 40-120. He started walking away pretty good around 90mph, only reason I stayed with him prior to 90 was his shifting.

what tune? and if you installed tune/dp's and intake at same time and felt no real difference from stock then i would definitely think something is up with your tune as you should be gaining about ~70 awhp and more torque so you should of definitely felt a difference
also your '60 and 330ft are on par with stock, but your 1/8th mile time and trap are slower than stock times so would definitely log if your can or contact your tuner

Would rather keep the tuner name out for now, not sure if there is something up with the tune or elsewhere. I tried to log with the torque pro app and Bluetooth obd2 thing, was so laggy that I couldn't really log.
Installed downpipes, upd, and tuned ecu all at the same time from stock form.
Something is definately very wrong as I'm slower than stock.
What do I need to buy to properly log this car with a laptop? Software? Cable?

I don't know, the first thing I would be doing would be calling the tuner to figure this out and not opening up to a discussion forum. They should have an idea. If that didn't yield any results, then solicit advice. Just my opinion.

I'm not pointing a finger at the tune.
I've been in contact and they want me to log it, but I need to know what I need to purchase to log it.
They suggested checking the intercooler pump and level. Fluid is full, not sure how to test the pump.
I'm looking for direction on those two items or any other ideas of things to check for.
Thanks.

the one thing i've persistently read about people who have been satisfied with their tunes is that there is a definite "wow" seat of the pants improvement.
Did you dyno before the mods?
How did the car feel when it was stock?

How long has it been tuned? I recently got a RT tune and though i felt an instant difference the car definitely got much stronger the more i drove. The car now is a complete monster.
Planning to get it on the dyno in the next couple of weeks just to see what its putting down.

I always get a baseline dyno before I mod anything otherwise it is difficult to tell just how beneficial your efforts are.
Based on what you say I would expect an issue with the tune. Did they offer more than one such as an intermediate and full tune like RennTech does?

how successful was your brake torquing? did you bog badly, or did you find it was ok? i'm new to the strip and found my worst times were when brake torquing; however, the fastest times in the community are with brake torquing. something i need to work on
at what data rate are you logging? torque allows you to specify, as you may know. I'm just learning how to actually log meaningful data, and it's been a process...not sure where you are in that journey. which Bluetooth logger are you using? i have this one

My first run I brake torqued too long and bogged which isn't these time slips. Then I figured out the timing somewhat. I know I could save a tenth on the launch, but that's not gonna fix the ET to where it should be. MPH should still be 98-99 with the 1.8x 60'.
I set torque app to fastest data rate and it still was laggy, live readings were literally updated every ten seconds or so.

One I bought a few years ago.

Regarding what you need to log, yes, they should weigh in. for fun i log , speed, rpm, boost, timing advance, and iat
Just spitballing with you. I'm sure Speedriven wil get back with ya

Do you know how much boost your running on the tune? I've got about 30 passes on my car so far and typically I get 92-95 mph in the 1/8 except for one miracle run 96.5mph in the 1/8th. I was wondering the same as you and found out my tune only has 15lbs of boost. I spoke with my tunner and there going to retune and up the boost to 20lbs. I think the guys getting the 100mph are running 19-20lbs of boost.

Ok. Makes sense. What did the log files say, though? Had the same thing happen to me. Live readings were cr@p, but when looked at log files, the proper sample rate was there.

in torque:
- go to obd2 adapter settings, check the 'faster communication' box, if not checked
- go to data logging and upload, and 'select what to log', check 'turbo boost and vacuum gauge' and uncheck 'intake manifold pressure'
- go to data logging and upload, and 'file logging interval', change to something more frequent 1 sec (maybe .25 seconds and see how it does)
regarding your values, i ran my car last night in hot/humid florida and highest ait was 55 Celsius (131F) after driving hard. I've yet to log throttle position, so am unable to comment. I'll mess with it later when I get in the car.
Max boost I've seen after logging for few days is 19.03 PSI with timing advance of 6.5 degress with AIT at 52C...this was in the evening when it was 'cooler'

Got a log to open in excel, csv format. However it looks like line 8-15 are all identical as far as readings. Am I looking at this right...29lbs of boost at a whopping 1.5 degrees timing advance?! 41 degrees celcius intake temp? This log is a short highway pull through a couple gears. Also thottle position of 86%...was definatley wot.
also from what i read on torque apps logging values, the intake manifold pressure (column N) has atmospheric pressure in it, so when you subtract it out it looks like your max boost in your log is 14.5 psi which is stock boost levels

Guys heres another log with high speed turned on and set to log every .25 seconds. Still appears to be missing data. This was about a 10mph-100mph pull immediately following another pull of the same speed. Did them back to back to test the IAT.
From what Im seeing IAT and Boost are inline with where they should be? But it looks like only 3 degrees of timing advance?
