Automatic Reverse Park Feature
Hi guys,
I'm having trouble getting this working sometimes, and other times it starts reversing almost into a 90 degree angle to the kerb...
Sometimes when I drive past an empty spot, pull up next to the car in front and put it in reverse, the "Would you like to use parking assist?" prompt doesn't come up at all... Is there a trick to it? What activates it?
Cheers

I tried again today. Drove past a car, an empty spot and then stopped next to the car in front of the spot. The arrow next to the P popped up, I put it in reverse and no prompts popped up asking if I wanted to use automatic park...
Any ideas?

When it asks you to start the park assist it gives you a preview on the center screen (between the clocks) of the parking spot. Since it can park parallel and normal to the roadside you must check the preview to see what it wants to do.
Putting it in reverse or putting the indicator to the right direction normally triggers it for me.
Might have been a hiccup that caused it not to park.
I rarely use it but it's useful in some occasions.

IME and as instructed by the dealer you have to drive quite past the next parked car for the White arrow next to the P to appear. Indicating and putting it in reverse will trigger the Parking Assist.
