2016 C63S vs. 2017 C63S

Haha, I posted the same thing not too long ago here. There are subtle differences in HUD and the way things are optioned out with the premium packages vs multimedia package, lighting package, etc. Also, ventilated seats are available (not with performance seats). Also, rear view camera is standard.
I'm looking for a 2017 simply to get a newer build and for resale value. They would have to give a damn good discount now for me to get a 16.

I would guess most of the time that is too much to ask. why would a dealer give away all of his margin? I would say between 4 and 5% is closer to what you will get. Unless you have a unusual relationship with the dealer.

I'm currently at 12% on a 16, except I noticed some absurdly large other fees on the proposed pricing model (easily 4x what other dealers charge), so that cuts it back down to about 9%. Not that great for a 1 year old sitting on the lot it seems...

I think 10% is the minimum discount I would accept, 12% should be doable though. The margin for the dealership is about 8%, but that's before any incentives are offered. I've heard of guys getting 10-12% off on an off-the-lot car.
I got 6% off of a factory ordered, first allocation '16 model back in summer of 2015 for comparison. Also note that the w205 basically came out May 2015, so it was only a 6 month old model at the time.

Thanks! This is helpful; I thought I saw that 7% was the reference point. That means that 7% is roughly the margin, so agree, it would be unrealistic to expect that.

Just a few things I've noticed about the '17 C63S sedan.
- The sedan doesn't come with a color matched spoiler standard now. It's just a bare trunk.
- The optional CF spoiler looks different than previous year models CF spoiler. It's appears thicker and the shape is more like the C63S coupe CF spoiler.
- You can now spec both the CF spoiler option and night package option together. Previous year models if you selected one it would remove the other. You couldn't order them in tandem.

I just bought a new 2017 yesterday. 10% discount off the lot.

Still not sure if the CF spoiler is different from previous years. Need someone to post a pic of their '17 with CF spoiler.

I'm talking about the spoiler on the trunk. Every C63 comes with one but per the US configurator doesn't show anything except a bare trunk. It's an error in the configurator pictures though b/c every C63 comes with a spoiler.
I'm pretty sure the CF spoiler hasn't changed either, and the configurator is just making it look different.
