129 ride height
Have a chance to buy an exceptional 129. Still love these cars, but just cannot get past the silly ride height, especially at the front. Someone have a recommendation on springs, or a euro part number, sl 60 part number...anything? Thanks, maybe someone can point me to a picture of your properly lowered car?

Thanks, but...
Won't quite fix my problem. Most of the late model 600's have the hydro suspension, at least on the rear, and some even have full hydro. Your guy may have been able to adjust the ride height by tricking the computer a bit, which won't work on a us spec 500. Nice looking SL, thanks.

Can you tell me the part number of the HR springs you put on your SL500, I just bought a 98 SL500 and all the HR springs I find don't go past 96 SL500. I have a 94 SL320 that I lowered and I want to lower the SL500 too.

Thanks that's what I thought but I called H&R and they said they don't show any springs past 96 even after I explained my car doesn't have ADS. I did buy the 29853 and will install this week end. I did my 94 320 with B4 and B6 shocks but still have more body roll than I'd like, is there more I can do to cut down the roll?

If were talking about an SL500 w/o ADS then I would suggest a set of eBay H&R Springs lowering springs. I put a set of H&R springs, new Bilstein struts/shocks, strut mounts, and #1 shim on the front and #3 shim on the rear. We saw the need and manufacture a front Camber and Caster adjuster kit to suit the R129 (and also C124 and W201) model.
It doubles the existing adjustment range of both Camber and Caster with the added bonus of replacing the 4 highest wearing front end suspension bushes at the same time.
Kit comes with bush extraction tools and instruction sheet.
For the rear (only Toe adjustment OEM) we manufacture a Camber adjuster kit with also extra Toe adjustment to cater for this new Camber facility.
Both front and rear kits are precisely adjustable. Single wrench accurately (underload) direct on alignment rack.
It means you can now precisely adjust to resolve steering pull, inner edge tirewear, altering height, fitting wide profile tires/wheels or for curb knock damage.
Front Kit P/N 501716 $380
Rear kit P/N 502026 $320
Current promotion for MB World members USA/Canada delivery - $30 one kit or $40 front and rear (normally $70 one kit, $80 front and rear). Can pay by Visa, MasterCard or PayPal.
