If by not working you are referring to adjustment of the reflective surface, I may have experience that can help. If it is the dimming of the reflection with the fluid I got nothin for you!
I am not certain of the modern system, but for the mid 90's 600 mirror switch that adjusts the mirrors on exterior and interior rear view it is known to malfunction and I have replaced the switch.
