Portable hardtop storage

I'd like to have a few blocks in the truck of the car to set the roof on if I'm away on a weekend trip. I have a cart at home but it's too big to take anywhere. Does anyone have a solution? I'm thinking 4x4 blocks for the back and a longer piece for the windshield. Maybe pvc pipe but it could be hard to set the top down on them.

When I travel with hard top, I have 4 blocks of rigid foam that can be impaled on the mounting/latching spikes of the top. I have a dust cover ( 2 parts that "velcro" together ) Because the top can balance on the four spikes I have not used any support on the windscreen side. I usually carry the top to a spare bedroom, so no one is trying to sit on or move the structure! All of the items fit under the storage area behind the seats.

Ok perfect thank you. I think I will save from styrofoam blocks next time I get a big delivery.
