On my '06 SL500, I need to replace the front rotors and brake pads. In researching to buy the rotors and pads, it states "chassis # from F063165". In speaking with a guy from the online parts company that I'm looking to buy the rotors from, the rotors are either 330mm or 312mm. How do I find the chassis number?

Also, has anyone replaced the rotors and brake pads themselves? Any advice?

I've done it; pretty simple and similar to any other car.
Just remember to disconnect SBC system, replace sensors also.
