ABC Fluid Overfilled

Hey all,

I did the ABC fluid change by myself + a buddy.

However, I was too stupid to realize that the dip stick was the really long one next to the filter. Instead I thought the short dip stick in the steering tandem pump was it.

So long story short, I didn't know what amount of fluid to put, so I over filled it. I see some leaks now and I assume it came from the ABC reservoir when I went to test drive after the flush.

I wanna ask if I am screwed and my ABC system is simply gonna fail soon?

I see some spots on the bottom of the car's ground and bottom cover is wet with oil.

The level is still a bit higher, and I think I should take some out. What should I use? a syringe system?

Thanks!

J

Sorry but I am confused. Did you overfill/top-off the power steering pump with ABC fluid or overfill the ABC reservoir?

I don't think that overfilling the ABC reservoir will hurt the system. It will cause fluid to overflow and create a mess on the ground. Once it has done that and stopped overflowing, you might as well leave it alone.

It will overflow and make a big mess, that's all.
