How to Reset 2014 SL550 service reminder?
I tried to search but can't find it.
I can't figure out how to reset the thing. It now says its 110 days past due. (I let the car sit in the garage when im up north) I just had a mechanic friend do the service and he can't find it either.
We can get to the service assist thing but no way to reset it

Mine just hit about 16k and is now telling me I need Service A. I had the oil/filter changed by MB just 2k ago and plan on the B Service at 20k. According to the manual, only a dealership or authorized service center can reset it.

I thought I posted this before. It works for a CLS 550. I changed my oil Service A (btw used LIQUIMOLY 2332 which meets the 229.5 spec). The following procedure works, this is my fourth MB and each has a little twist but was able to figure them all out eventually. You do NOT need a dealer!
1. On a keyless car press the start button one time for position "1" , If you have a key move it to position "1".
2. Scroll to the TRIP option on the display, go to the mileage display.
3. This is the trick, press the "Talk/Answer Phone/Make Call/Accept Call Button" (the one with the little phone picture)
AND the OK Button within one second, and hold them until you get into the SERVICE MENU (SERV).
4. Scroll down in the SERVICE MENU to ASSYST PLUS, press OK.
5. Scroll down to FULL SERVICE, Press OK.
6. Choose type of service being performed,(A,B,etc.) press OK.
7. Select OIL GRADE used (i.e. 229.5), press OK.
8. Select CONFIRM, press OK.
9. You are done!, Go to ASSYST PLUS menu and verify new status.(The "days late" message should be gone!)

Thanks for the post. I was able to get rid of the reminder but things are a little different on my '13. After item 4, I was presented with "Service 1, Service 2", etc followed by "Full Service". Selecting "Service 1" and hitting OK did nothing so I went down to "Full Service". I hit OK here, answered the oil question, then it said something like "Full Service not possible". When I went back to the list, "Service 1" was gone and the selections were "Service 2, Service 3, ..., Full Service". I figured that since "Service 1" was gone, this did the trick. It did.

Glad to hear you got rid of the message, like I said I've had several MB and they were all different! The trick appears to be getting to the service menu..
Here is a link to one of the all-knowing folks on this site which has more details...
