2014 E350 and 2014 SL550
Programming two Mercedes to the same garage door opener
I have a Legacy garage door opener with a rolling code. I program my E350 with no problem; however, when I program my SL550, the program on the E350 drops. I took the E350 down the street with it programed to the Legacy. I then programed the SL550 with no problem. When I drove the E350 back to the garage, the E350 would not open the garage door. How in the heck to you get both programed to the same garage door or is this not possible?

Probably the memory in your garage door opener is full, they hold only a certain number of remotes. Try completely erasing the opener memory and then learning both cars to the opener. Typically memory can be cleared by pressing and holding the learn button on the garage door power head for about 15 seconds until the associated light blinks/stops blinking/whatever.
No need to retrain the homelink buttons in each car. Just push the learn button on the opener head, then the homelink button in one car (may require 3 pushes before it is learned). Then the learn button on the door again and the homelink button in the other car.

I have the same legacy Genie garage opener. It was working on a Camaro, C250, Range Rover and E350, until I add a intellicode key code wall unit. All vehicles and the intellicode work except for the E350. It does not matter how I do the configuration. It is always conflict between the E350 and the intellicode unit. I finally gave up without using the intellicode.

We have 2 MB's (the GLK and the E400) coded to the same opener. No problem at all for ours. I think it may be a Chamberlain opener.
