On line manual http://www.startekinfo.com/StarTek/o...tedDocId=11883 Basically the same as the CD. Paper manuals do show up occasionally on EBay. For the 560SL there is the manual and a separate supplement. You need both.
The shifter knob is molded to the shaft. You would have to cut it off.
To remove shaft and knob:
Remove ash tray.
Remove ash tray frame. This requires removing two phillips head screws, tilt out from the right side then unplug the wires on the left.
Remove the wood surround by removing the two screws at the front and sliding back. When I have done this the mirror switch has popped up in the front making it fairly easy to remove and unplug. Lift the rear of the wood piece and unplug the other switches. The manual leaves out the step of sliding to the rear. It just says to lift it. This results in breaking the pin on the rear.
Once wood is removed remove the bolts on the plastic piece and lift it up on the shaft. There is a lock nut where the shaft screws in. Loosen it and unscrew the shaft and knob.
