Hmm makes me appreciate my current SL just that much more... Why are they making ALL the latest upcoming models w/nearly same boring boxy headlights found on latest C-class models.. Same thing on the CLS etc.. Only the S-class INMOP stepped up majorly in design changes..

2007 Väth SL65 AMG. 2007 BMW Alpina B5s. 2007 BMW M6.
If this is the final product, and it sure seems that way if it comes from a catalogue, it turned out better than on privious pictures we've seen...
Still sad to see that 90 degree "ball wall" front, without any leaning at all.
That is the opposite of aerodynamic, to me!
Very simular to the CLS front.
The parts I do like, are the parts simular to my old R230...
And what's with the seats..?
The "back supporting part" looks alright.
But why can't Mercedes produce a sportier version of the "sitting part" of the seats..??
Like a length-adjustable part up front!
Like BMW!
Mercedes have a lot to learn from the "Comfort Seats" BMW 5 & 7-series nowadays have!!!
That goes for the old MB seats to.
In fact, that goes for MB seats since beginning of time!
Allways waaayyy behind BMW seats...

2001 Lamborghini Diablo, 2009 SL65 (sold), 1998 CL600 (sold), 1989 560SEL (sold)
The exterior styling is ok. Nothing ground breaking though. The interior is similar to the new CLS.
But what's underneath may sway us. Lighter, more powerfull (assuming 5.5TT), more fuel efficient and more driver conviences.

Clayton's SL600 ECU/TCU ran 11.02 @ 126+mph vs RENNtech CLS63 PP ECU/ ran 11.21 @ 126 mph, keep in mind, that's the AMG PP model w/ECU etc vs base old model SL600 2005 both have 5.5 liters & I believe the 600 weighs about 100 lbs more...
I do agree fuel consumption will be better in the new direct injection 5.5 but do we really buy these beasts for future gas savings, no I think not
