Weistec HE on SL55

I also have a Weistec HE on my SL55. It required no bumper or cover modifications. I did have to trim the plastic should a little to run the new hoses through it but that was all. Install was pretty easy with the self tapping screws. I just had to buy a couple of molded hoses and 4 hose clamps.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm going to be installing this on a different 55.

Do you mind sharing the exact hoses that you used for the install and where you bought them from?

It'd be nice to have everything in hand and ready to go instead of having to stop and order the hoses once it's mounted.

Nor Cal SL55 suggested a couple of hoses he found a local auto parts store so please thank him for the hose information.

They were Dayco part # 88353 and 80414. I was able to get them at my local Autozone and also saw them on Amazon and this was for an inline install with the stock SL55 HE.

Finally finished the Weistec HE install and as Eraser-X states, it fits very well. Only minor cuts in the oil cooler shroud to get the HE to set back flat and trimming of the plastic to allow the new hoses thru to connect to the new Weistec HE.

The Dayco hoses listed above work perfectly with just some minor trimming of the hoses themselves.

Guys here is a quick photo from my cell phone this morning. The difference is minor since the oil cooler was visible before.

I looks like it kills more bugs!

Where did you relocate the oil cooler, just further back and up?
Did you fab up your own oil cooler lines from the cooler to the existing inline connections? If so do you remember the connection sizes?
I need to do the same on my sl, I replaced my oil cooler over the summer but should have thought ahead and measured the fittings on the old one before tossing it
Wow, which cooler is that?
