Possibility to Get Like/Dislike Button?
That would be unique if this forum would implement a like and a dislike feature on threads and posts by other members. We would therefore be able to see; for example, if a member posts wrong information as a post on a DIY thread, individuals can dislike the post and members/guests would be able to determine that the information provided is false.
Not only for that however, but quite frankly I have seen this feature being equipped in other forum providers.
Now I know this forum has the "rate thread" tool in the upper left-hand corner, but honestly, most people do not even use it or see it. I think the like/dislike button should be present next to the "quote, reply," part of other members posts.

Hi and thank you for the suggestion. I would like to find out what other community members feel about 'like' 'dislike' buttons.

I think a user contributed reputation type feature is very helpful on the other forums I participate in. It provides added context when reading commentary/recommendations from other users and helps gauge the potential veracity of their content. Kinda like eBay, would you buy from a seller with a stellar feedback rep or one with little or negative rep? Looking at the # of posts someone has is not a good indicator of quality.

Thanks everyone! We are looking at a new feature which allows members to leave a thank you. I'll have more later this week.

A tech ticket has been submitted to add a new 'Thank You' feature. It keeps track of a 'Thank You' both given and received. If you're curious you can see the feature on Cobalt SS. Look on the left at any member's profile. No schedule on when it will be installed but soon I hope.
