Welcome to the Classics Registry...

Welcome to the Mercedes-Benz Classics Registry. This forum is intended for MBWorld members who own a classy Mercedes-Benz that is not covered in the other, model specific forums (typically 40 years old and older).

This forum covers all Mercedes sedans, coupes, cabriolets, and roadsters, circa 1970 and earlier.

Feel free to post pictures of your vintage cars. Like any of the other model specific forums, this is also intended to be a working forum where classic owners can seek advice and offer advice, so feel free to ask maintenance and other questions.

1974 450 SL
Junk yard find 1974 450sl 71436 one owner car

I was hoping to find help with my junk yard find of a 1974 450sl with 71436 one owner calif car. Hard top never removed until I bought it. Interior looks like no one ever sat in it NO RUST NO LEAKS BODY IS AS STRAIGHT DASH HAS SMALL CRACK A/C works all lights work small chattered type dent drivers side rear fender approx 17" long 3 inches tall. No dings Crome is all there no cracks or pealing undercarriage all part for suspension are original. All service records from new were there spare tire tool kit Why would someone junk it. I called the mechanic that has worked on it for over 15 years. I know him he works on my porche. Kinda lost on what to do with it. I didn't need another car but I couldn't pass it up. She is beautiful. Very powerful weighs almost 4900lb. Can post pictures. The only thing I am doing to it right now is replacing the part in drivers door that stops it from opening to far. Any one have a idea what the car is worth. Should I just part it out. Or worth keeping.

W108/250SE
W108 looking for owner history

I am the proud owner of a 1966 W108/250SE. It is a European version built for the French market (double yellow head lights).

I am very much interested into knowing more about the previous owners of my car. Can anyone advise me how/where to find out about car owner history?

Mine is a W123-250-1978Model 6 Cylinder (In-Line) naturally aspirated, manual transmission.
Bought it almost two decades ago, 31-Dec-2001. Neglected it, but now restoring. Love it to date!

Front grill and bumper badly rusted, after I am done sorting mechanicals to perfection, will do the body work.

The rear look is everlasting beauty.

Front grill and bumper is so much worse now. Will replace as soon as the mechanicals are perfected.

1962 220SE
New member to the forum in Portland Oregon........... Hello to all!! and here is my baby. I have owned it for over 23 years. It is a 1962 220 SE with a sunroof. It's a little bit of a Frankenstein body wise since needing pieces for the original paint/body job and a later rear end crash made use of a 'donor car' which did not quite fit exactly. Don't ask me why, I have very little mechanical knowledge, but I have had a love for the finners since my first one in 1974!! I am in desperate need of a 6 1/2" Bosch bumper fog light lens cover (glass) which was lost by the body shop and impossible to find, so far. Diana

the fog light lens that is needed.....
