Had this t-pipe split on me today. It's taken the car off the road, as its part of the coolant system and I don't fancy a seized engine. Should have my custom fabricated metal replacement made and fitted by the morning though.

Problem solved. Had a new t-pipe machined to spec, which has replaced the broken and seemingly obsolete plastic unit. Works perfectly and won't need changing again, ever. It's finished with a touch of heat resistant black paint.

Still haven't got around to getting the car onto a Dyno for diagnostic runs, but have had time to get online and order what I have found to be the only full coilover suspension system for the W210.
The system is engineered by PB Brakes and I'm seriously looking forward to getting it installed. Dan (owner of PB Brakes) is one very helpful individual - and I recommend PB Brakes be checked out by all W210 owners in regard to braking and suspension system upgrades.

Are the pillow ball mounts available for our cars? If so, are you getting them? Did you go with the recommended spring rates or specify a custom rate? They state they have one of the most comfortable coilovers on the market, which is what I want. I know this system has a lot of adjustability (30 damper settings plus 50mm of height adjustment). What kind of ride are you hoping for and have they assured you it is attainable? My concern is if the ride will be soft enough when set on the softest setting.

Let me get the kit installed and I'll update you on everything I find in regard to setup versatility.
The pillowball mounts are not applicable on my car because I don't have camber adjustment as stock, as is the case with most 210's, if not all - right?
In regard to spring rate, I did indeed go with the PB Brakes recommended spec. Anyone who's spent the time and money in R&D for a system specific to our cars - I'm following their advise to the letter.
This is the point I kept coming back to when opting for this kit. It's not a generic system tweaked to fit a 210. It's a fully developed system strictly for the 210.
The PB Brakes coilover kit arrived the day before yesterday, but I didn't have chance to collect it until today. Fitting is set for tomorrow morning - with a new set of rear wheel bearings as well since they decided to go today.

That would be great! I anticipate your thoughts on the kit first but it looks like its a great solution for the price, ride and performance so far. Given your additional power mods, Im sure you can give it a good test.

Did your friend have any feedback on the kit?
I do have feedback actually. I have had these on my car for about 2 weeks. I was previously on vogtland springs cut one coil all around and #1 spring pads. I loved the height and was able to maintain the same height with these coilovers which is about 3 inches lower than stock all around. They ride amazing and are incredible when cornering hard even being this low. I have high performance summer tires and love to drive the car at its limit through the canyons and these coilovers get the job done. Only complaint I have is that under 40mph the fronts make a little bit of noise and it sounds like they are under quite a bit of stress but it is most likely due to the fact that I am so low. It's not the worst thing in the world. For the price honestly theres no way you will be able to find something better
