Tempting! do you think 295/40r18 will fit in lowered e55 with stock rims with no rubbing?

You beat me to the punch.

I'm in the exact same boat and trying to figure out what the widest tire is that I can fit on mine. Traction seems non-existant on an E55 in the colder months. Not sure how the modded guys can get traction any month of the year if they are running stock size tires.

Indeed, which of the 265/275/295 is the widest we can go? I'd love to pick up a set of rears.

I just went 275 in rear and I'm Rollin really low

I feel that traction is way better vs the 265

Based on past threads, 275's seem to be the perfect fit but, some have squeezed 285's with little to no rubbing.

Hopefully others will chime in.

I run 285's in the the rear, a pinto will take me across the intersection due to no traction up to about 40-50. 265s are now sold out.

I run 285's and have no chance of rubbing and my car is Star Lowered as low as possible.

Run a 30 profile and correct offsets and you should be fine on 18's.

Almost wish I got a 295 30 18 since the height of the 30 profile on 285/18's or so short compared to my 275/35 that I was running.

I run 275 on mine and no issues. I didn't want to push the 285. Great find by the way!

Sounds like 285's Falken's would fit then?

Also would 265's fit on the front or is that too much? I have 245's on now.

Thanks.

I just got this e-mail...

Thank you for placing an order with Vulcan Tire Sales. Due to
overwhelming customer demand, we have mistakenly oversold the AZENIS
RT-615 in size 275/35R18. Because this was a closeout special we have
no choice but to cancel your order. We understand that you may be
disappointed that you were unable to take advantage of this exceptional
offer and apologize for any inconvenience.
As a show of good faith we will be mailing you a Vulcan Tire Sales
gift card valued at $20.00. You can use this card like cash to purchase
anything in our store. Again, we sincerely apologize for any
inconvenience and hope that you will return to our website in the
future.

Yeah, I didn't want to burst your bubble, but I received that email yesterday afternoon.

Free $20. Not as cool as the discounts on those tires, but still, more in my pocket than I had yesterday.
