FTP C/F Intake Scoops...

I assume these are basically the same as the old TTM scoops? Anyone on here have the FTP ones? I seem to miss out on every used pair of TTM's which go for sale and the "I'm building some TTM style scoops" thread seems to have taken a wrong turn...

If all is good, I plan to pick-up a set then start using some caliper paint on some items under the hood to make it stand out from the crowd.

I think Berti did a review of these. Beware of fit & finish

has anyone ever logged any measurable benefit to these? (lower IAT's? More power?)
Not being cynical, just curious.

I believe someone has done some before and after testing with the TTM scoops, and there may have been a slight, measurable difference, but from what I recall most agreed they are purely for looks.

the first mistake is that its made by FTP. Everything they sell is bad fitment and horrible service. Many can attest to that.

yah i have a set of these.... i had to redo them all. You see that finished face,(ftp logo) well thats not what he was selling. his was a RAW looking, kinda like it was printed of a 3d printer. So after i bought them i used bondo for the inside to fill and make it smooth and than prime and than paint, they came out good, but i spend alot of time on them. Soon as he saw the pictures, he went on and did the same thing and up'd the price to like 300 or some B/S like with everything else he sells.

+1

Mine didnt fit for Sh**
Spent hours trying to get them to work but couldnt close the hood. Ended up cutting them and then decided the trash can needed some better ram air intake, as it turns out the fitment in the trash was flush. Couldnt be happier with the outcome.

LOL... Everything they make is crap. They all look great in the pics and on their car but when it comes to you, its second class garbage. I bought their HE which they said is larger and fits perfectly. The lie detector determined, THAT was a lie. I also purchased their under hood IC Tank which they claimed fits perfectly. The lie detector determined, THAT was a lie. The list goes on and on.

Lesson of the day, buy from anyone but FTP.

They are on the FTP website, I haven't pulled the trigger and may keep looking as a couple have commented on the fit and finish of the actual product.

Appreciate the heads-up guys, as I was responding I see a lot of the "real" feedback coming in this morning. That's enough to make me move on and keep looking. My trash can doens't need any scoops!

Now, someone sell me your used TTM's and while were at it how about some C63 mufflers
