Bluetooth connection '06 E55
So I've searched around and read through the wireless4mb instructions. My car is an '06 E55 and has the dock and device installed. Here is a pic:
It flashes and supposedly is ready for paired connection . Here's the thing: When I turn on the bluetooth on my phone to scan for available connections, it does not recognize the MB device (MB Phone System). I also know there's a code to enter for above device but I can't get to that step due to it not recognizing it.
My Phone is a Samsung S4 and others have said the list of devices are more broad than the list suggest. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yes, try a different device. I had to reset my iphone when it wouldn't pair with another bluetooth device. BTW, did you pay full retail for it? would love one but don't want to pay that much for BT.

when you turn the car on and the lights flash slow.... did you push & hold the MB star to make the lights flash fast (discovery mode) then search for Bluetooth with phone. the code is MBUSA (62872)

I had the same issue with mine, the lights would illuminate but could never get it hooked up and it threw a code. Turned out the bluetooth short circuited to ground. Id check to mKe sure it hasnt thrown any codes.

Bump for more info on MB BT...I too have an 06 and while the pucks are cheap and can be found on eBay, I was told I needed the phone kit ~$1k in addition. Seems crazy to me that one needs a BT kit + the puck, but then again it is a MB...

There are different revisions to this bluetooth adapter. The one you posted in the pic is the older version. The newer version looks like this:
Newer bluetooth adapter
Apparently the newer version supports more phones. I have the older adapter and it works fine on my LG Optimus F3.

^ Could very well be an older version and when I browsed through the phone list, it was limited to not support 'modern phones'. This could be why I can't pair it with my Samsung S4. Let me try another phone source (iphone 5 but that's not even on the support list as well).
Car came with it though I believe the prev owner had an Iphone 3/4.
I have undocked it and tried sequencing the rapid flashes to locate the device. Nothing.

So I was able to test out an Iphone 5 and it could not locate the MB puck for b-tooth connection, just like my Samsung S4.
Guess that means I would need the newer style puck as posted above in the pic ? Or are there any other brands that won't break the piggy bank that supports my phone ?

If you push in and HOLD the MB Star on the Bluetooth device it should go into discovery mode. I had the older and newer version and they both found my Samsung Note 3, so it should find your Samsung...
