Need Help Red Brake Message
Hey Guys, so the car drove fine yesterday and today soon as I unlocked the car a red brake malfunction message appeared with the reduced braking, the E brake light is on, ABS light, and also a ESP message.
I had a white brake service message prior. I replaced the pads and sensors, but it was it still, so I ordered the brake switch which I was going to install this weekend.
I can hear the SBC pump turn on, but it runs little longer then usual, then the red light comes on.
I can't seem to find anything in the search button. But what could be causing these issues? I hope its not the pump.

It is the pump or some part of the pump (accumulator). But definitely time for your system or most of it to be replaced

Hopefully its your brake switch.
Got the white light. but it comes and goes. Doesn't always stay lit. it only appears once in awhile. No red light.
Could it be brake switch or sbc reprogram? No unusual sounds or anything else.
Curious to know before heading to dealer

scottgps, sign up for the Mercedes electronic parts catalog (EPC) online. You have to enter a credit card but it will not be charged. Enter your VIN, then scroll through the parts catalog for the specific parts you need. Or contact Pelican Parts or ECSTuning with your VIN and let their parts person look up the correct replacement part. Personally, I find the EPC extremely handy.
You'll need to find another member, independent shop, or dealer for access to the Diagnostic Assistance System (DAS). If you don't own one, you should buy one. Pricey but worth it.
Also, read everything you can on servicing the SBC! It powers up if someone opens a door while you're working on the system. If changing brake pads, it could take fingers off.

Hey Bbirdwell, thanks for the info. That's the website I tried, but it doesn't work on OS X system.
I have been doing my research on it, I did disconnect when I changed the brake pads
I received the quote from MB dealer and they want $1,400 for part+labor includes a re-man sbc unit. Which I think is a pretty good deal compared to what I have seen.
